Arran - A feast of fun awaits on the holiday isle!
Depart on the 0700 ferry from Ardrossan and return on the 19.20  Enjoy full Scottish breakfast and/or fish tea on the boat!
Most of the superb  walks on the main ridges ( e.g. the  Glen Rosa round -just)  can be done this  way. Alternatively,  classic rock climbs  beckon - weather permitting.
Or, for an easier day, catch the 09.45 ferry. This leaves plenty of time for an ascent of Goatfell  or for  one of the wonderful coastal walks.
Those wishing to dally longer, could camp at Glen Rosa or Sannox - leaving on Friday evening or  staying until Sunday.
Cars can be left at Ardrossan and the excellent bus service used on the island.

Glenfinnan - is home to 3 Munros and many Corbetts all within a good days walk. This is "Prince Charlie" country at its best and as well as the fascinating historical aspect of the area, there are numerous walking and scrambling possibilities. There are various good hostelries for "après walking" refreshments, too!
A 7am start will ensure that we make the most of the day`s possibilities.

Glen Shee - in addition to being a popular ski ground also offers a number of interesting hill possibilities, thanks to its relatively high level start of over 1000 feet. One, two or three hills can easily be combined to offer a high level walk across the plateau, in most cases allowing a horseshoe circuit to be made back to the start point. There may even be a possibility of some high level early snow.......!!
